Operations Manager
Matthew commenced his career as a Registered Nurse working in a Local Health District in a Rehabilitation Department providing care for people following orthopaedic surgery and cerebrovascular accident. He also worked in the Aged Care Sector as Care Manager.
Matthew has 25 years’ experience in the NSW Workers Insurance Scheme holding positions of consultant, senior consultant, team leader, injury management advisor in a scheme agent, injury management consultant in a large complex multinational organisation, different employer service manager and managing director. He has provided care, advice and direction for people needing assistance with vocational redirection following significant injury preventing them from being able to perform pre-injury duties. Mathew has made submissions for review of the workers compensation scheme in the NSW Parliament.
Mr Buxton seeks to serve the community by ensuring people have access to assistance, advice and guidance to recover from injury and where necessary find new meaning in life.

Peter has worked in the not for profit sector as the Secretary of the Police Association of NSW, is a trustee of Unions NSW, Chair of the Police Bank a qualified Mediator has an Economics Degree (USyd) and is a graduate of the AICD’s Company Director’s course. Peter served as a member of the NSW Government’s Workers Compensation and Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Council from 2006 to 2012 and has been appointed as a stakeholder representative on the Nominal Insurer Advisory Committee.
